Greetings

A lot has happened since County voters went to polls in November 2005, and approved the creation of the Santa Cruz County Jail District which authorized the financing and construction of what is now known as the Ed Pastor  Justice and Detention Center Complex.  

Countless hours were put into designing the facility along with an excessive amount of time dealing with the federal government to obtain the required clearances that would allow the County to build on the property.  

Construction is now well underway and we are amazed with the amount of progress we have seen to date.  To share our excitement with others who might be interested in this Project we have created this web page that will allow you to see the construction of the Complex on a monthly basis.  

We will continue to update this website until the Complex has been completed, which expected to be December 2010.
