What is the Presidential Preference Election?
This is an election where different persons, registered to the same party, run against each other to see which will be the choice of Arizona Party Voters to be nominated at the National Convention.  Each of the recognized parties in Arizona decide whether they will participate or not and notify the AZ Secretary of State of their decision. The AZ Secretary of State then notifies each county so that an election may be held for the individual parties desiring to participate.

Who can vote in the Presidential Preference Election?
Only Voters who are registered to a specific participating Party may cast their vote for one of their own Party’s candidates.  In 2012 only the Republican and Green parties will participate.

Do Voters registered as “Independent”,  “Party Not Designated”, etc. vote in this Election?
