Mission Statement: The role of the Health and Human Services
Department is to provide a better quality of life for employees and
citizens of Santa Cruz County. This is accomplished through coordinating
the efforts of local, state and federal programs to improve and increase
services available. The Department consists of Human Resources, Workforce
Investment, Public Fiduciary, Health and Risk Management. The various
divisions responsibilities include:
·Human Resources: oversees compensation,
benefits, salary administration, employee relations, training
and policy.
·The Workforce Development: provides the necessary services for
increasing employment, retention and earnings of participants,
improving the quality of the workforce, reducing welfare dependency,
and to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the County
and the Nation.
·Public Fiduciary: serves as the fiduciary of last resort for
individuals and decedents estates in need of guardianship.
·Health Department: provides preventive intervention, surveillance,
and education to all individuals.
·Risk Management: serves as a safeguard to improve safety and
compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations
while maintaining County service delivery. |
