Santa Cruz County Public Works Department has a capable staff responsible for diverse duties, such as engineering, roadways, and the flood management. Public Works reviews development plans, issues right-of-way permits, and designs roadway & bridges. Public Works is also responsible for road maintained, bridge inspections, and roadway & drainage improvement projects.
There are currently five (5) Divisions within the Public Works:
- Engineering & Traffic
- Development Review
- Solid Waste Management
- Road Maintenance
- Flood Control District
